If you could completely gut out your kitchen and two bathrooms, how would you start over and what would you design?  That is exactly the opportunity we had with our Independent Glam project. Our homeowners wanted to redesign the kitchen, primary bathroom and guest bathroom to better suit their individual functionality and style, so Sojourn Design House and Skelly Build got to work!

The kitchen was first gutted out. However, we kept all the existing appliance locations & hook ups, as well as the existing plumbing rough ins. We added three can lights above the island and under cabinet lighting using an existing switch, plus we added a new switch for the disposal.

New Casa Dolce stone countertops were added throughout the kitchen onto the waterfall edges of the island, as well as Ann Sacks Savoy Ribbed backsplash in a Driftwood color.  All the existing flooring was demoed out and a new engineered French Oak hardwood from Luma Flooring was installed throughout the main areas of the house. New painted custom cabinetry brings depth and drama to this beautiful new kitchen, and beveled edge slat walls were added in the entry, on the back of the island, and around the concrete columns in the condo.  This beveled millwork really adds the desired glam and distinguishes this condominium from all the others, glamming up the cold concrete columns. Brass hardware, new lighting, and a fresh coat of paint completed the look!

One of the most striking features of the primary bathroom is the Walker Zanger patterned tile backsplash used in the vanity area and tub surround.  This tile contrasts perfectly with the white pearl quartzite countertops used in both the vanity & main areas. Brass lighting, custom cabinets & new mirrors complete the look. The custom shower boasts designer niches and a bench, all covered in Porcelanosa Park Lineal Acero tile. Additionally, we added a recessed lighting cove above the shower. On the floor, we installed Soho 24 x 24 tile in the main areas and Ann Sacks Eros Mosaic tile in the shower area. The end result could not be more beautiful & glamorous!

Finally, our homeowners wanted an inviting, functional hall bathroom space easily accessible for their visitors. In this bathroom, we installed an Ann Sacks Savoy Mosaics tile backsplash behind a lighted mirror above a beautiful Blue Honed quartzite vanity countertop and Metaphor Vessel sink. Everywhere you look in this renovation, you will find thoughtful design and glamorous touches, making this condo unlike any other!
