Have you ever tried (and maybe failed at) installing your own wallpaper? At times it can even be dangerous for a marriage or a friendship to try to work together to hang wallpaper! At Skelly Home, we have a lot of experience with professionally installing wallpaper and we have experience with restoring low-quality installations before it’s too late. Take a look at some of our favorite wallpaper installations from Skelly Build:

  1. When picking out wallpaper for your next renovation, think in terms of longevity. If you’re planning on having a long-lasting design, you will need to pick good quality wallpaper (or talk with the designer, if that’s the route you choose to go). Make sure to pick wallpaper that will last you for the long haul!

  2. We know that viewing wallpaper on a screen or at a display in the store can be difficult to do and that many wallpapers have textures and sheens that depend on the lighting in your house as well. The best way to know if the wallpaper you crave fits the aesthetic in your home is by trying out generous sample sizes. Our Skelly team will be more than happy to test these samples around the area you want to wallpaper.

  3. If you’ve watched plenty of home improvement shows, you might think you know everything there is to know about wallpaper. It’s as easy as slapping some glue on the wall and pressing the paper to the wall, right?. Unfortunately, that’s NOT usually the case! Aside from the time it will save you, it’s a good idea to hire a professional who will help ensure that you get the wall paper hung right the first time. There are many details to keep in mind when hanging wallpaper: good adhesion, matching patterns, no bubbles, creases or other do-overs — it’s not as simple as it sounds. Leave it to our professionals to do the dirty work, and, in the end, your wallet might even thank you!
