No expense was spared in the transformation of this Seaholm condo unit from a basic box into a luxurious penthouse. The owner wanted to feature the wrap around views of the city & lake in addition to the Ketra lighting & beautiful artwork on the inside of the condominium. The power team of Merrill Alley and Jacqueline Hunt at Urbanspace Interiors did the design and Skelly Build completed the construction on this project.

To start, the ceilings of the living room, dining room, & master bedroom were constructed into 14 foot cove ceilings with lights installed around the perimeter that can change into any color of the rainbow. All of the drywall in the unit was smoothed to a Level 5 finish & painted with Sherwin Williams “Snowbound” in a matte finish. To further play off the indoor and outdoor lighting, the columns in the living room were wrapped in Anchor Ventana sheet mirrors. This allowed the views of the city to be reflected off the columns indoors.

In the kitchen, we moved the cabinetry up and installed a New Ravenna Calacatta + China black backsplash. In additional electric work, we moved all the under cabinet outlets up into the cabinets to create a cleaner design aesthetic for the backsplash.

The guest bathroom is one of the most visually impactful moments of this renovation. The Affresco multi-colored Bisazza glass tile immediately draws the eyes to the vivid design in this bathroom & is contrasted by an elegant warm Trikeenan 2 x 12″ black brick tile installed in the rest of the space. Added lighting and fixtures complete this visually stunning space.

In the master bedroom, we continued to use Fiandre large scale porcelain tile to wrap and glamorize the concrete columns, making sure again to match the veining patterns carefully. We also installed wallpaper, new lighting , and relocated some electrical outlets in the master bedroom.
