You know the feeling…that moment when you take a hard look at your kitchen or bathroom and realize that its style is outdated or the room feels just plain worn out? Our Skelly Tarrytown Home clients had the same issue, so they contacted designer Lauren Madden and Skelly Build to get to work to beautify and transform their unfunctional space!

Tarrytown Home Renovation

The kitchen, primary bathroom and a guest bathroom all needed renovation to make this home functional and family friendly again.  Each space received a full renovation, including framing, new cabinetry, windows, trim, sheetrock, taping/floating/painting, staining, new tile, new countertops, plumbing, electrical, lighting and HVAC. Today let’s take a look at the eye-catching kitchen and primary bathroom areas!

KITCHEN

The only remaining item from the previous kitchen are the existing wood floors.  Everything else received a complete demolition and upgrade. All new custom cabinetry and white oak floating wood shelves provide multiple options for adjustable storage.  Additionally, we  installed pressure sensored LED Lighting for the inside of cabinets so that even a midnight snack for our homeowners will be easy to find!

A Prosource Equipe Tribeca Gypsum White backsplash provides a clean, fresh palette on the walls of the kitchen and extends up onto the tile clad vent hood. Down below, the backsplash meets with beautiful Luce Claro Honed Metroquartz countertops. These countertops extend down into a waterfall on one side of the peninsula bar. All new appliances and a new pantry with bi-folding doors finish off this new functional, beautiful kitchen.

PRIMARY BATHROOM

The renovated primary bathroom area is now a light, bright and airy spa experience. Carrera Marble Bianco Honed Carrara Marble floor tile meet with brand new custom cabinetry and in order to keep the space light and bright. Notice that when we tiled and enclosed the new shower area that we were able to create a tiled shower bench.  This bench extends out from the tub deck to provide a small sitting area in the shower. Brilliant!  Custom shower niches and silver hardware finish out the gorgeous new get ready space!
