BuilderTrend is the construction management platform that we utilize at Skelly Build. This platform provides our clients with pictures, daily logs, a calendar, invoicing updates, etc. Additionally, all change orders are submitted through BuilderTrend and approved by the clients. BuilderTrend is available to use from your computer browser. You will download the BuilderTrend app on your tablet or phone.

HomepageHomepage: Your BuilderTrend home page is the main access point to every aspect of your project. On the left of your home page, you can see a general overview of your project’s financials. In the center, you will see any pictures that have been uploaded. On the right side, under the ‘WHAT’S HAPPENING’ section, you can find different pending notifications such as unread documents, messages, change orders, upcoming selections, and payments. In this example, you can see the homeowner has an unread document and three recent daily logs. At the bottom of the page, you can see the schedule.

Screen Shot 2021-02-04 at 11.29.43 AM.pngAcross the top of your page, you will see an image of a home, “Project Management”, “Files”, “Messaging”, and “Financial”. You will use this dashboard to navigate the different parts/information of your project.Schedule Example Schedule/Calendar: This displays the agenda of when different tasks and trades are scheduled to work at your house. The calendar is constantly being updated.Daily Log Example Daily Logs: Your project manager and estimator will regularly post daily logs so that you stay up to date with exactly what is going on at your house. These daily logs will include photos of every single step of the process. You can easily respond directly back to a daily log or you can create a daily log yourself.Daily logs are our project manager’s main way of communication with clients throughout their renovation. Because our project managers are out of the office checking in on job sites for most of the day, it is best to contact your PM via Buildertrend. When a PM is on a job site, they are 100% dedicated to that job site. Phone communication is utilized for emergency situations, such as a water leak or a major electrical issue.CHANGE ORDER EXAMPLEChange orders: You can directly approve, sign, and pay for any change orders. You can also leave comments, questions, or request a change order. If you click on the change orders they will expand to show more details. This is also where our Materials Manager will add in any materials we are purchasing. You can view, approve, ask questions, etc. Once your change order is approved, it will automatically turn into an invoice.Documents exampleDocuments: Here you can access any documents Skelly Build, the designer, or yourself have uploaded. This is where you will find your plan set, buildertrend training, your permit, etc.photos examplePhotos: Here you can see different photos uploaded in folders. This is a great area to reference photos from your daily logs, progress photos, any photos you have uploaded, or before photos.Message exampleMessages: All messages will be logged here for your reference. Sending a message is like sending an email. When messages are sent they will go to your email, and you can respond directly from your email. You can send these messages to anyone at Skelly Build.Estimate exampleEstimate: This is your project’s estimate. You are probably very familiar with this document by the time your renovation starts!Invoice exampleInvoices: Here you can see and pay for all your invoices, this includes all your change orders.
