Job Title: Luxury Home Remodel Residential Construction Estimator

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Residential Construction Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential construction projects, working closely with clients, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure precise budgeting and project feasibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction estimating, exceptional analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and project scopes to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Develop detailed takeoffs and pricing models for materials, labor, and other construction costs.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to refine project budgets and scopes based on feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and present estimates, proposals, and budget reports to clients and internal teams.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of material costs, labor rates, and market trends to ensure accurate estimating.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities through value engineering.
- Assist in contract negotiations and procurement of materials and subcontractor services.
- Monitor and adjust project estimates based on changes in scope, market conditions, or unforeseen circumstances.
- Ensure estimates align with company profit margins, project goals, and client expectations.
Qualifications

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in residential construction estimating, emphasis on luxury home remodeling.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Buildertrend, ProEst, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
