What is Rooms of Hope?
Rooms of Hope is Skelly Build’s community initiative created to transform the life of a child or disabled individual in need. Through this renovation giveaway, our team will build a space that enhances comfort, safety, accessibility, and everyday quality of life. Whether it’s widening pathways, reimagining a bedroom, or creating a room that sparks joy, our goal is to deliver a space that truly supports the person who lives there. Rooted in our mission of caring for people and their spaces, Rooms of Hope reflects the heart of Skelly Build. This project is our way of giving back to the Austin community—by using our craft to create impact, connection, and hope where it matters most.
Giveaway Information
What does the process look like?
- Submissions will be open for three months starting on February 16th. Once an application is submitted and accepted, we will schedule a 30 minute call to get to know you and your situation better
When do submissions close?
- Submissions will close on 4/6/26
How do I know if I qualify?
- Must be a child (under 18) or an individual living with a disability. Must reside in Austin, TX, or the surrounding area where Skelly Build can safely perform the renovation. The individual must have permission from the homeowner to renovate the space. Renters must have written approval from the property owner. Submissions will be evaluated based on need, impact, feasibility, and safety. The renovation must address a real, significant need in the home.
